Let's see... As I am new to this, bear with me, it's not an easy thing to do. I'm 46, alone, but not particularly lonely, trying to gather the pieces of a shaken up, but not broken life. I'm originally from Chicago, have been in Alaska for going on 9 years, and I intend to stay. I enjoy fishing, boating, gardening, taking leisurely walks, playing on my computer, reading, various crafts, animals (mostly mine), my 17 year old son, and being with fun, sociable, non-Alcoholic people. Not that I don't enjoy having some drinks, but spending long hours in bars is OLD, and being with people who seem to be under the influence most of the time is not fun. Ienjoy a large variety of music, from Big Bands to oldies to classic rock and blues, but not country. I like spontaneity, and people who keep their word. Integrity and honesty are absolute priorities. I can't abide control-freaks, or massive amounts of machismo, although I need strength - physical, emotional, and mental. My friends say I'm wonderful, weird, and too sensitive, that I need to think better of myself, and to control my temper and tongue. I am often told that I am beautiful, ( but that impresses others more than it impresses me), and most and most people think that I am about 10 years younger than I am. I have the gift of insight and an uncanny knack for "feeling" people and situations. I am in the mental health field, and would like to further my education in order to set up a private practice.
